Project: Cabrils Hillside Home, Private Residence, Spain
Client: Private
Year: 2022

Set in the Mediterranean hillside just north of Barcelona, the private family home in Cabrils exudes an honesty in its design language. We have worked to remove clutter and excess elements within its structure to give it a light and airy expression, blurring the lines between inside and outdoors, while creating a natural and comfortable flow through the space.

Project name: In the Middle of the Forest
Area: 6700 m²
Year: 2024 Location: Poland
Architecture: Pl Architekci

This garden project, «In the Middle of the Forest», seamlessly blends modern architecture with the natural landscape, combining elements of garden art with the wild beauty of the forest. The inspiration for this unique space came from the forested landscape with a picturesque stream at the border of the property, influencing the selection of plants that gently envelop the architecture of the home, creating a smooth transition between the buildings and the surrounding nature.

Through extensive glazing, the garden merges into the home’s space, uniting the interior with the outdoors and blurring the traditional boundaries between enclosed and open spaces, allowing inhabitants to continuously enjoy the benefits of nature.

Designed with comfort in mind for all users, regardless of age or ability, the thoughtful layout of the garden provides both active spaces and quiet nooks perfect for relaxation. The centerpiece is a terrace surrounded by tall pines, which becomes a hub of family life—from shared meals to moments of rest and play. Nearby, nestled in a nook, is a fire pit area, ideal for evening gatherings.

The garden also features a fully equipped gazebo for outdoor living, including an outdoor kitchen and shower, making it the perfect spot for family afternoons. Additionally, an expansive vegetable garden allows for organic cultivation, bringing fresh vegetables and fruits directly to the table.

For children, there are two diverse play areas, tailored to different ages, enhanced with features like hills for observing surroundings and slides that ensure not only safety but also fantastic fun.

This garden project is more than just a space—it is a place where every element holds significance, creating a cohesive whole that lives in harmony with its environment and the needs of its residents.
